I…ROBOT?

Recently, I have been fascinated by the television show “Westworld”, which describes a future world where robotics & artificial intelligence have advanced to the point of making the cybernetic beings indistinguishable from the human ones.
This isn’t a new concept. As early as the 1940s, Isaac Asimov (author of the “Three Laws of Robotics”, seen above) was postulating similar scenarios and wondering about the moral and ethical dilemmas that may spring forth from a continued melding of machine and man.
With those thoughts in mind, I would like to present some titles dealing with the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence. Not only do those topics become more and more relevant as technology improves, but the Makerspace movement has even pried robotics from its usual realm of scientists & philosophers and integrated it into library and classroom environments.
Let’s start with some general titles that help describe “the basics” of both robotics and AI…
